Swedish imports Francobollo have been gaining momentum over the last year or so for their good-humoured lyrics and warped indie sound. The second taste of their upcoming sophomore album follows the excellent 'Hoo Ha', which won us over a couple of months ago with its potent combination of catchy melodies and politically-charged vocals. 'We're Dead' takes a similar approach, targeting the all-encompassing nature of social media to a musical backdrop of simple yet effective chord patterns and killer riffs. Doolittle-era Pixies instantly springs to mind on this one, channelling their iconic melancholy indie-rock and ingenious songwriting, whilst somehow managing to sound completely original. Francobollo play London's Omeara on the 29th of May and if this track is anything to go by, it's gonna go off. -Holly Mullineaux
